We’re on our way again. Starting Friday we’re off to Paris for a few days before we take the train to Lyon where we board our Viking river boat for a sail down the Rhône to Provence. After a couple of culinary-intensive days in Lyon, we’ll be heading for stops in Vienne, Tournon, Viviers, Arles (where we’ll spend an entire day walking in the footsteps of Van Gogh), and finishing in Avignon.
We’ll be sampling the Beaujolais wine country, tasting Lyon, imbibing in the Rhône Valley (with local Valrhona chocolate), and savoring the wine of Chateauneuf-du-Pape (memories of Marsha’s father gushing about this favorite wine of his).
So pack quick, and lite, and if you remember the last time you were here, send us some recommendations.
Let’s go!
Have a wonderful time!
So excited to hear about the travels. Doing Chicago tomorrow (3rd time this year) then London, and Amsterdam, and lastly a river cruise form Budapest to Amsterdam. We will have to compare notes on river cruises. I loved France and the art work there!
Hope you love the Provence cruise, we all did.
Check out the monastery surrounded by lavender fields, I recall it’s near Gorde. Happy trails. Jim
Sounds absolutely phenomenal. I’ve only been to Paris… Musee de Cluny! Musee D’Orsay. Maybe Christo will be wrapping the Arch De Triumph?? oops not till 2020. you’ll have to go back again for that. Bon Voyage! (Maggie)
